Aww, man, This is awkward. How can I kill a lady?

The name “Gangsta” might give the impression that this is an anime about gangsters, double dealing and turf wars. While it does incorporate some of these themes, it does so in a dystopian world which has so far done a good job with piquing interest about the ins and outs of how life is lived. Our two main characters, Worick and Nicholas are handyman; they take odd jobs from anyone, which includes the police force. They live in a place governed by the three laws, one of these laws is broken by an outside entity. We don’t know why or what these outsiders are after but this so far has been at the forefront of the story. The first few episodes mostly introduced us to the world and the characters.

Worick is easy going with a naturally mischievous attitude. He has sharp eyes for shooting and has a side job with being a lady pleaser. You can tell that he cares for Nicholas amidst his playful banter. Nicholas is a Twilight, which is a name given to the descendants who used Celebrer drug. They are noted have super human strength and speed but are often riddled with personality or physical disorders.

What Gangsta lacks so far in plot, it makes up in the technical departments. The art and animation are detailed and fluid. It does a great job at capturing the moment to moment action. The OST oozes with style making up for some of the well rounded fight scenes this year.

Gangsta has potential to be something great. As we see the story expanded further, only time will tell which way it pans out. Thus far it has been looking like its heading in a positive direction.
